Silhouette InstaLift is a minimally invasive procedure that will be performed using Health Canada-approved equipment and best practice safety and hygiene techniques to immediately lift facial skin and gradually renew the body’s natural collagen.

Silhouette InstaLift uses absorbable micro-cones to instantly lift aging, mid-facial skin, including sagging cheeks and deeper nasolabial folds. Pre-Procedure Care

  • Avoid NSAIDS, ASA and blood thinners for 1-2 days and up to 7 days before treatment if approved by your treating physician
  • No fillers, or energy-based devices like RF, Ultherapy, HIFU, Laser for 4 weeks before treatment
  • No sun tanning, microneedling, chemical peels, and neurotoxins like Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Nuceiva for 2-3 weeks before treatment
  • No signs of skin infection like cellulitis at the time of treatment
  • No dental procedure for 4 weeks before and after treatment
  • Inform your MD of previous facial or neck surgeries like face and/or neck lift, cheek implants
  • Inform your doctors of full medical history like autoimmune disorders like lupus, history of scars after wounds or surgeries, pregnancy, or breastfeeding
  • No travels planned for 2-4 weeks after treatment to make sure of your availability to see the doctor if any problems arise due to your treatment

Post-Procedure Care

  • After treatment, slight swelling or bruising may occur. Sometimes, a slight depression or skin irregularity may appear at the insertion points. These typically disappear a few days after treatment, but some variation in time may occur.
  • Apply cold packs immediately after procedure, if required (cold packs should be wrapped to avoid direct contact with skin and insertion points).
  • Take analgesia, e.g., paracetamol, in case of pain.
  • Refrain from applying makeup for as long as possible (minimum 24 hours).
  • Sleep face up, in an elevated position, for 3 to 5 nights.
  • Wash, shave, and dry the face gently without rubbing or massaging (5 days).
  • Avoid excessive face and neck movements (2 weeks).
  • Avoid over-exposure to direct sunlight and do not use tanning beds (2 weeks).
  • Avoid high impact sports, e.g., running (2 weeks).
  • Do not use saunas and hammams (3 weeks).
  • Avoid dental surgery (3 weeks).
  • Avoid face and neck massages and facial aesthetic treatments (4 weeks).

Who is a good candidate for treatment with InstaLift?

As with all treatments, be sure to ask your physician if InstaLift is right for you. InstaLift is most often recommended for women (mid-30s to age 50) seeking a rejuvenated, yet natural-looking appearance, as well as experiencing a loss of elasticity/sagging skin and loss of volume in the mid-face. They look in the mirror and lift their cheeks, wishing they could revert to where they once were and envision the youthful appearance they once had.

Is the InstaLift procedure done in an office?

Yes. The treatment is performed in a physician’s office and takes less than an hour to complete. Downtime is minimal, similar to injections, there can be bruising, swelling, pain or tenderness at the treatment site. Most signs of treatment dissipate within 24-48 hours.

InstaLift is only performed by qualified physicians who have had special, comprehensive training and are familiar with the techniques required.

Will I need general anesthesia?

No. Your physician will only use a local anesthetic to numb the area before treatment.

Who should not get treatment with InstaLift?

InstaLift should not be used in patients with any known allergy or foreign body sensitivities to plastic biomaterial or in situations where internal fixation is otherwise contraindicated, (e.g. infection). The device should also not be used in patients appearing to have very thin soft tissue of the face in which the implant may be palpable or in patients with excessive heavy skin. due to advanced aging. InstaLift is also not for people who aren’t willing to undertake the after-treatment considerations.
